Using Edmate
Edmate is provided to schools, which give access to their staff and to parents and guardians. By using Edmate you agree to these terms. If you use it for a school, you confirm you are allowed to act for that school.
Your account
- Keep your password and sign-in codes private, and don't share your account.
- Tell your school or us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Only view or change information your role allows, and only for school purposes.
School information
Schools are responsible for the records they enter, such as results, attendance and fees. If something about a student looks wrong, contact the school.
Fees and payments
School fees are set by each school. When parents pay online, the payment is processed by Paystack and goes to the school. Questions about fees, refunds or receipts should go to the school. A school's own subscription to Edmate is covered by its agreement with us.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Edmate. That includes trying to:
- get into accounts or information you aren't allowed to see;
- disrupt the service, or copy or reverse-engineer it;
- send messages that are unlawful, abusive or misleading.
We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Availability
We work to keep Edmate available and your information safe, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We may update or change features to improve the service.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Edmate is not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by information a school or user entered, or by services outside our control such as mobile networks or payment providers.
Ending your use
Parents can delete their account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account). Schools end their use under their agreement with us.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Questions: edmategh@gmail.com.
